Denver's Union Station!

Denver's Union Station is apparently home to the largest rail expansion project in the nation right now, and the quality and design of this gorgeous accompanying urban renewal project is absolutely STUNNING.

I did a few walking tours during the construction phases, but walked around this morning with my jaw hanging open at how impressed I was! The fine detailing, the design elements, the quality of materials and the beautiful light everywhere all made me positively GIDDY. Inside and out, this is truly a crown jewel for Denver!!

I'll surely go back many times with my real camera, but for now, here are a few iPhone shots from this morning. Opens officially on July 26th!

my apologies, but we couldn't resist an on-site selfie...

Architectural Photography | Telluride CO

I'll admit it, my heart was racing for most of this shoot: this recently completed One Architects house in Mountain Village, Colorado was filled with SO many incredible spaces, details, textures and juxtapositions I was constantly being seduced by new moments to appreciate.  Another stunning example of no-stone-unturned design philosophy in action.  Kudos to the incredibly talented team who brought this project to such beautiful completion!

Waterworks Showroom | Denver Architectural Photography

I still remember, back in my days as an architectural designer, the impression I left with after feeling my first samples of Waterworks glass tiles: LOVE.  So I was pretty darn excited to be contacted by the Denver showroom to photograph their new location in the Denver Design District.  Wonderful company, highest quality beautiful designs, great people.  Enjoy.

And the Grand Opening Event itself was a blast, too!  For more photos of the event, see gallery here.

Restaurant Interior Photography | Ambria, Denver

I was thrilled to be commissioned by Aspen and Denver based architecture firm, Rowland + Broughton Architecture and Urban Design to photograph their recently completed remodel of this beautiful new restaurant, Ambria, on the 16th Street Mall in Denver. Warm, smoke colored Roots Lotus lights and a long community table create a beautiful gathering area central to the space, while flowing fabrics help define more intimate areas within a mostly open floorplan.
And if you were curious, yes - the food is amazing!

Green Cube | Denver Architectural Photography

Denver's Highlands neighborhood has a fantastically diverse fabric of architectural styles, including many new, contemporary and sustainably built homes, such as UrbanGreen's latest, the LEED approved Green Cube home.

The home has strong architectural forms, a beautiful glass stair, and a wonderful Living Wall feature which purifies the air quality while simultaneously growing herbs and lettuces right around the corner from the kitchen... what could be better?

I was fortunate enough to photograph the project during its brief time as a model home for one of the talented designers, Heidi Mendoza of Re.Dzine.

See more photos from this shoot on my FB fan page.

Cheers!

Stir Cooking School

Cleaning out some old files over the weekend I realized that I never posted these photos of the gorgeous, Naka Designs interiors of Stir Cooking School in Highlands (Denver) CO.  Photographed in collaboration with architectural photographer Jason Jung, this was a great opportunity for us to compare styles and methods.  The final results hopefully combine the best of both worlds!
