Architectural Photography | Telluride CO

I'll admit it, my heart was racing for most of this shoot: this recently completed One Architects house in Mountain Village, Colorado was filled with SO many incredible spaces, details, textures and juxtapositions I was constantly being seduced by new moments to appreciate.  Another stunning example of no-stone-unturned design philosophy in action.  Kudos to the incredibly talented team who brought this project to such beautiful completion!

Finger Painting | Wearable Art

We had only a tiny window of opportunity in which to fit in a shoot with Nicole wearing her latest painted dresses (co-designed by Chemical by Sasha for the Telluride AIDS Benefit).  

She was a trooper out there in the sudden (and intense) snow squall, and in the end, the whirling snow added quite nicely to the magical quality of the dresses.

Photoshop Magic

It's hard not to love the San Juan Mountains in a blanket of fall color!

This panoramic photo was created for a client in Telluride desiring a photograph which would show the view from their property.  The panoramic was created by shooting 5 different vertical shots... (the high res image is 44" wide).

Did I mention the big RED CRANE that was in the way??  Would have been nice to shoot from in front of the crane, but alas, such a view is not possible.  Here are the raw files loosely placed together:

Needless to say, photoshop skills came in quite handy in merging the photos, evening out the sky and erasing all evidence of that big red crane!

This was a fun an experiment to achieve a tilt-shift type effect with a photo from a concert up in the Mountain Village, CO.

Summer Wedding in Telluride

I was cleaning up files in my ever growing Lightroom catalog tonight, when I realized that I never posted any of these photos, from a gorgeous July 5th wedding on the top of the mountain in Telluride, CO. The wedding was GORGEOUS - intimate, fun, and amazingly relaxed. Even looking at the photos again I am filled instantly with feelings of love for these families and friends, and that elation of the promise of a future together. I wish them the very best!!

This photo was shot during Grace Potter & the Nocturnal's concert at the July 3rd '09 Red White & Blues Celebration in the Mountain Village, Colorado... one of my favorite shots of late!  

Incidentally, Grace puts on an incredible show and I left feeling, once again, ridiculously lucky to actually get paid to do something I love so much!
