Dreaming of the next in a series...

Array, 2009
Behind the Models, 2008

Ah, what to do when you have scores of beautiful, local fashion show models, all donating their time and energy to an incredible cause... who all happen to be willing to pose for you, nude, in the pursuit of creating art for an auction to raise money for AIDS education and care?

'Tis that time of year again, the incredible, annual Telluride AIDS Benefit Gala Fashion Show is almost upon us.  This year's models are now auditioning, couture is being collected, donors and volunteers alike are all in a flurry of preparation, and me, I am busy dreaming up the next in the series of these fundraiser photographs with great anticipation!

Stay tuned for more!!

Great work here - would love to know how you lit that and how much went into post production. I can't imagine a seamless black background big enough for that many people but it sure looks that way!

Thanks, Jason! These were actually both shot it in a theater with stage lighting, and then there was a fair amount of post to clean up and saturate the black, as well as construct a few different photos together to create the graphics.

My background is in architecture, so the array was actually drawn out in AutoCAD and that graphic served as a background layer on which to place the models, which were actually photographed standing up! The line is actually two separate shots brought together, the array is constructed from 4 photographs of several models each.

In a few days I'll post the other shots I have, with a slightly different purpose. Can't wait to do it again this year!

A stage - of course...I should have thought bigger than a standard studio...makes sense now! :)
