Cover Girl Magazines! | Senior Photographer, Denver
I just LOVE designing things like this to offer to my clients! Here's a peek at a new product in my lineup for high school seniors this year... I loved so many from this session it was impossible to pick just one!
Eileen is one of my senior models this year and I just love her beautiful soul. Her session was magical -- one of those that makes me feel indescribable joy for the honor of celebrating high school seniors at this exciting time of their lives. Yep, I am a lucky girl to get to do this!!

Modern in Denver | iPhoneography
Modern in Denver magazine blows me away -- consistently -- like no other publication out there. Seriously. Quality of content, graphic design, editorial choices. Love. It.
What a thrill it was when publisher William Logan asked me to contribute a series of iPhone photos to a feature to include iPhoneography of local designers, architects and other Denver creatives.
Deciding on a single theme to contribute was a fulfilling exercise. My iPhone gets FAR more use as a camera than as a phone, so I have no shortage of image collections -- all still growing! Finally I decided on this set, my most consistent muse being uniquely beautiful Colorado light -- in this case in the city. Even in my days as an architect, I was always in fascinated with natural light and how it plays on design elements. Having a phone always on me with which to document fleeting reflections, shadows and other beautiful light-drawn design keeps my senses constantly on alert.
So here's the final collection -- now in print! (the photos below of the magazine captured, of course, via iPhone). Always exciting to see work in print -- but there's something really special about being able to share these intimate glimpses captured without any final goal in mind other than pure aesthetic whimsy.
As always, even the layout of the feature is beautiful!

Check out the Winter 2013 issue, on stands now (above). Someday I'll have to try that portrait above with a real camera -- captured brilliantly by my son at a local coffee shop.
Below are of some of the original photos. iPhoneography has absolutely enhanced my experience of enjoying a spontaneous walk in the city. And in many cases, these simple captures have even inspired future more official and planned photo shoots. What a fabulous creative tool!

Green Gourmet Cooking | New Merritt Design Photo Magazine!
So excited to share this new project which I photographed and designed for a wonderful new client, the uber talented Lucy Warenski, chef at Green Gourmet Cooking.
Within hours of uploading the finished artwork, I was contacted by the Director of Marketing at MagCloud, saying how much she loved this piece and asking if she could feature our first issue as part of the launch of MagCloud's new 8x8 format square magazine later this week -- very exciting!
Watch for big things from Lucy and me as we strive to take the culinary world by storm!

One Architects | Ad Campaign in Luxe magazine
Excited to share this beautiful ad campaign I have been designing for One Architects to run in Luxe magazine:
The conceptual goal was to use the full page in an eye-catching way that would drive curiosity to visit their website. We strived to achieve this by highlighting an unusual crop of an architectural detail in the keyhole of their logo, with a different seasonal background for each corresponding issue in Luxe magazine.
Winter and Spring (running in the current issue) are shown above, and we just finished up summer, which will be a double page spread:

First issue: Architecture: in Photographs
This is pretty cool, if anyone besides myself is excited by the concept of being able to design and publish, on-demand, their own magazine... My first issue is a collection of architectural photographs from the Telluride area. I am really happy with the quality of the product (paper, color, etc.)... Check out the preview at MagCloud...
I look forward to designing my next issue, shooting to include Aspen and Denver locations...
